ARSENAL YOUNGSTER HAILED AS ‘NEW FABREGAS'

Arsenal youngster Charles Patino has drawn comparison with former Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas with his style of play. The 17-year-old was hailed by some Arsenal fans, who took to their various social media handles to celebrate the player after his goal against the Chelsea u-23s in what was just his second match for the Arsenal u23s.

His goal was enough to rescue a point for the Gunners via a 2-2 draw. The new Cesc Fabregas scored in the second half to register his first goal for the Arsenal u-23s. He has been promoted to the u-23 team at Arsenal on the back of his impressive displays for the Arsenal u-18s. Arsenal had trailed in the aforementioned Chelsea game to the opening goal from ThiernoBallo before the Gunners equalisedthrough first team squad member, Reiss Nelson. The Blues edged in front for the second time in the first half through Lewis Baker and his goal was enough to give Chelsea a slender lead at the interval. The slim advantage was erased by the goal from Charles Patino as the two teams settled for a share of the four-goal thriller at Meadow Park, the home of Borewood Town FC.

Charles Patino would be hoping to follow in the footsteps of AS Monaco player Cesc Fabregas by playing for Arsenal as a teenager. He has trained several times with the Arsenal first team squad and it looks like it's a matter of time before he's unleashed for the first team. Cesc Fabregas made his debut for the Gunners as a teenager having joined the club from Spanish La Liga team Barcelona. He went on to captain the club before returning to Barcelona in 2011. Cesc Fabregas spent eight years with Arsenal in North London and was part of the team that won the 2005 FA Cup title.
