CESC FABREGAS JOINS RIO FERDINAND IN PRAISING GABRIEL MARTINELLI

Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Martinelli has been sensational for Arsenal this season following his return from injury and is already making his case to become a regular starter in manager Mikel Arteta's XI. In the London derby against Chelsea last month - a game which started Arsenal's revival - Martinelli was outstanding as he helped his side secure a huge win over their bitter rivals managed by Frank Lampard.

Arteta is already beginning to have a selection headache regarding the teams he starts in recent weeks as he continues to welcome some of his injured stars back to the team. And Martinelli is steadily waiting on the wings to pounce on any opportunity given to him and grab it with both hands.

The youngster has been receiving a lot of praises recently following his fine performances for the Gunners, and just a few days after former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand sang the Brazilian's praises, former Gunners midfielder Cesc Fabregas has joined the moving train. When asked about Martinelli, Fabregas had only good words to say. He said the fact that the young man is still only 18 years of age speaks a lot about him because he plays sometimes way above his age.
Fabregas, who also played for Arsenal at a very young age, now plays for French side AS Monaco but admitted that he still watches some of Arsenal's games and is also closely monitoring the progress of Martinelli at the Emirates.
Fabregas recently held a question & answer session on Twitter and was asked which player current Arsenal player he would like to play with. Fabregas simply responded and said he would love to play with Martinelli because of his hunger, passion, desire to read the game, and the runs he makes into the opposition box.
